"It isn't normal to know what we want. It is a rare and difficult psychological achievement." Abraham Maslow

"We fear our best as well as our worst, even though in different ways" Abraham Maslow

All too often, we become just too distracted, busy or caught up in the routine monotomy of our own lives to recognise the light, life and beauty in us and around us.

Courses and workshops

The Conscious Collective offers courses and workshops in psychosynthesis and psychospiritual psychology from various venues in and around the South West. In 2020, we will be offering 4-day ‘Discovery of Will’ courses in March, May and October in Bristol and, commencing in September 2020 we will be running 'All That We May Be', a year-long programme over 9 weekends and concluding with a  4-day residential.

If you wish to apply for one of our courses please fill in the application form and send it to Peter Crowe at peter@consciouscollective.org.uk. Information on the application process and course fees can be found here. A copy of the full application form can be downloaded here.

The Discovery of Will

This unique and stimulating course has at its heart the principles and techniques of psychosynthesis, a psycho-spiritual psychology. Psychosynthesis considers the difficulties in life not purely as problems to be solved but as stirrings at a soul level calling us to be the person that we are meant to be. The course will introduce key concepts of psychosynthesis and consider their application toward living a more fulfilling life. Over the four days, we will use guided imagery, meditation, creativity and dialogue to explore where and how you find meaning in the everyday.

Dates and format

The Discovery of Will’ course takes place over four consecutive days at The Well Spirituality Centre, Elsie Briggs House of Prayer, 38 Church Rd, Westbury-on-Trym BS9 3EQ. This four-day course – Friday to Monday inclusive – occurs three times per year.

In 2020, the course will take place on the following dates:

  • 28 February – 2 March
  • 15 – 18 May
  • 9 – 12 October

During the course, each participant will be given the opportunity to meet with one of the facilitators to explore their process in a little more depth.

N.B. Attendance on ‘The Discovery of Will’ course is a pre-requisite for the year-long ‘All That We May Be’ programme. However, the course forms a unique opportunity to deepen your personal and/or spiritual journey whether or not you intend to continue your studies in psychosynthesis.

All That We May Be

The 'All That We May Be' programme picks up from 'The Discovery of Will' to explore the psychospiritual context of psychosynthesis in more depth. It is spread over one year with nine 3-day weekends (Fri-Sun) and one 4-day residential. The course is arranged so that each weekend is coherent in and of itself, while also building on preceding weekends.

More detailed information on the course can be found by clicking on the following link: 'All That We May Be'.

The overarching structure of the programme is  provided by a personal exploration of the journey of soulmaking. Modules within this programme draw on a variety of experiential learning techniques, including reflective mediation, guided imagery, volition, creative and archetypal expression.
